Logan Park entered three teams in the recent Model United Nations Assembly (MUNA) for Otago/Southland. For the third year in a row LPHS won best team and two Logan Park students won best speaker awards.
Winning LPHS team members representing the UK were Matthew Scadden, Blake McAlevey-Scurr, Charlie Ruffman and Peter Barnett.
Twenty one students and 5 teachers enjoyed a wonderful two week trip to Vietnam in the April school holidays. Highlights of the tour included a school visit in Hoian, shopping for souvenirs in the crowded old quarter of Hanoi, kayaking on Halong Bay, eating everything from spring rolls to whole fish and the insights into the recent and past history of the area from the two guides.

Congratulations to Jacobi Kohu-Morris who won a nationwide competition to become a Youth MP. He wrote about what he would do if he was an MP to benefit all New Zealanders. He received the most "likes" on Facebook and Winston Peters has selected him to represent him in Youth Parliament for 3 days in July in Wellington. Thanks to everyone who supported him by "liking" the Facebook entry.
