Orchestra Visit

Logan Park welcomed the James Hargest College Orchestra recently and enjoyed their lunch-time performance.

Logan Park students once again displayed their great team-work, navigating skills and sporting ability at the recent Get2Go Challenge, with the Mixed Premier team finishing second overall and the first placed Dunedin team. Teams competed in a variety of disciplines including mountain biking, kayaking and orienteering.

Otago Junior Classics Winners

Congratulations to the Junior Classics teams who won first and second place at the Otago Junior Classics Cup and first place in the Latin reading section.

Maths Award

Mr John Major was awarded the Jim Campbell Award for Excellence in Maths Teaching recently.

The award is for excellence in classroom teaching, valuable contribution to Maths education and support of local Maths organisations. It is only awarded to a few teachers nationwide every two years. Mr Major has taught Maths at Logan Park for 21 years and has been Head of Department for the last ten years. He is currently the President of the Otago Mathematics Association and has run the regional mathletics competition for the last two years.

Blues Awards

Blues Awards were presented at a special assembly on Friday 7 October to recognise the outstanding efforts that students have made in academic, sporting and cultural endeavours this year. Congratulations to the following overall category winners:
