Congratulations to Callum Horwell and Jacobi Kohu-Morris who won the Boys' Pairs Championship event at the NZ Secondary School Bowls Championships in Christchurch on 13 December.
Congratulations to Mathew Denys, recipient of the Moana King Memorial Award for Junior Dux and to Helen Prime, runner-up to Junior Dux.
Jacobi Kohu-Morris, Year 9, won the title of Best Speaker in the recent Otago regional competition. An impressive feat considering most of the other participants were Year 10 students. Jacobi spoke on "Cleaner energies and sustainable practices." The judges were impressed with his confident, warm and persuasive delivery. Many in the audience said if he was a politician, they would vote for him!
