Logan Park High School defeated Taieri College in the final of the recent 20/20 Colts cricket tournament held at Mosgiel on the 18th and 19th of November.
Logan Park has a large group of Year 10 cricketers who are being coached with the help of the North East Valley Cricket Club and are likely to surprise quite a few teams over the next three years as the boys grow stronger and their skills continue to improve.
Congratulations to the students who received awards at this year's senior prizegiving. Alice Freeman was named School Dux for 2013 with Jasmine Seifert-Simpson and Matthew Scadden named joint runners-up. The Head Prefects for 2014 were also announced: Head Girl - Helen Prime, Head Boy - Connor Seddon, Deputy Head Girl - Ella Dodd, Deputy Head Boy - Mathew Denys.

Congratulations to Robbie Motion and Matthew Scadden, Year 13, who were placed second equal in the Otago Secondary Schools' Film Competition recently. Robbie's film, a sci-fi comedy was called "It Came From the Mattress," and Matthew's "Heart of Gold," was a western-style film set in Central Otago in 1870. Judge Adam Jones is a TV3 reporter and cameraman. He complimented both boys on their high production values, impressive narratives and originality.
Congratulations to our 2009 Head Boy, Ben Abraham, who has just been awarded a Rhodes Scholarship. Ben is the second Logan Park student to be awarded the prestigious Rhodes Scholarship. See full article in the Otago Daily Times here: http://www.odt.co.nz/
