Pippi Miller wins Gold

Pippi Miller has won a gold medal in the Under-17 Women's Foil at the New Zealand National Fencing Championships in Wellington. The win qualifies her to compete in Australian age-group championships in Sydney later this year. Pippi says that she enjoys the mental challenges that fencing provides.

Race Unity Assembly

Students at Race Unity Assembly
Over 80 students from 30 countries celebrated Race Unity at a special assembly recently.  Head prefects Helen Prime and Connor Seddon, and International Prefects Akari Okawa and Evalotte Kubala introduced the assembly.  All students then sang a Maori waiata led by Jacobi Kohu Morris, Runa Falantule and Karen Penaia.  It was a lovely celebration of our wonderful diversity.  The ODT and The Star both featured the assembly in their publications.
